I am a UX/UI designer based in England, UK. I was born and raised in Colombia, college educated in the United States, and worked as an industrial designer for several companies until I decided that I needed a diversion in my career path.
As an industrial designer, I was exposed to the alarming environmental impact that mass production and consumerism are having to the planet which inspired me to pursue a career change in sustainability and user experience. I believe that focusing on understanding the individual as a key driver for behavioural change, we can lead the way to designing a better world.
My career started as an industrial designer equipped me to address real world challenges relative to bringing a design concept to life, prototyping, manufacturing, tight deadlines, and business constraints. Today, I proudly identify myself as a UX/UI Designer with experience working within cross-functional teams and a strong foundation in sustainability. My goal is to be part of a team in an organisation that is environmentally, and socially conscious in which daily practices contribute to building a better world.
